Research Associates
Consolidated salary : Rs.30,000/- per month.
The education qualification for the position is as follows:
a) Post Graduate in Economics/Statistics/MBA (International Business) with minimum 55 percent mark
b) Working knowledge in computer preferable on MS. EXCEL, MS Word, MS Power Point, SPSS and other statistical programming.
Desirable Experience: One to two years experience in the field of research on international trade, globalization etc.

4. While Regional Offices as mentioned at Annexure-2 will act as co-ordination agencies at cluster level, the Secretary of the Textiles Committee with the assistance of Directors at the Head Office, will co-ordinate the implementation of the programme at national level.
5. Training material for the programmes, where the Textiles Committee has expertise, are already available with the Committee and are being further refined to suit their requirements.

About the organization:
Human Resource Development (HRD) has been one of the most neglected areas in Indian textile and clothing industry. The syllabus/curriculum in the educational institutions, barring some new fashion technology institutes, has not kept pace with the changing requirements. The personnel from such institutes, after joining the industry, are not exposed to the latest and emerging concepts with respect to technology, market and management. With the integration of markets and application of IT on wider scale, there has been a sea-change in the way the businesses are conducted today. The industry needs to update itself with such changing requirements. One of the ways of meeting this task is to equip the personnel working in the industry with the skills and knowledge of the latest. While there are some institutions addressing this need of the industry, there has been no organized, focused and co-ordinated plan of action. This National Programme is therefore conceived to fill this gap.subjects have been identified, based on felt need analysis in major clusters in textile and clothing industry which will be covered during the financial year 2002-03 under this National Programme.
