PGIMER, Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi proposes to engage Assistant Professors (Teaching Specialists) in various disciplines purely on contract basis initially for a period of one year or till regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier, on a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 60000/- :
Assistant Professor : 52 posts (UR-28,SC-8, ST-3, OBC-13) in various departments, Pay : Rs. 60000/- consolidated per month, Age : 45 years,
How to Apply : Suitable and willing candidate may attend walk-in-interview on the date mentioned and report at the Office of Registrar, PGIMER, 3rd Floor, Administrative Block by 9.30 a.m. positively with the application in the prescribed form along with 6 passport size photographs, original and photocopies of relevant documents. No TA, DA is admissible for attending the interview.
General Instructions:
1. Three years teaching experience as Tutor/Demonstrator /Registrar/ Senior Resident in the concerned Speciality/Super Specialty in a recognized medical college/teaching Institute after obtaining the requisite post graduate degree/post doctoral qualification.

2. The Medical qualification possessed by the candidates should have the recognition of the MCI. In so far as post graduate medical qualification awarded by Indian universities are concerned they should also find a place in the Schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 as amended from time to time.
3. Teaching experience in any other post like the posts of General Duty Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for requirement to teaching posts. Holders of Specialty Board of USA qualification should complete the entire requirement of the Board concerned.
4. In case of qualification in Super Specialties (M.Ch/D.M) except in the case of holders of D.M./M.Ch of five years duration, the holders should have obtained MD (General Medicine) or MS (General Surgery) or an equivalent qualification as prescribed by the said Council in its recommendation on Post Graduate Medical Examination.
5. In case of holder of D.M. qualification of five year duration, the period of Senior Post Graduate residency in the last part of the said D.M. shall be counted towards requirement of experience.
6. Remuneration : Rs. 60,000/- (Rupees sixty thousand only) per month consolidated. The contractual appointee will not be entitled to any allowances, financial benefits or concessions as admissible to Govt. employees. Income tax will be deducted at source on monthly basis.
7. Age: Candidates should not be more than 45 years of age on 30.9.2012, relaxable as per instructions of Government of India.
8. The contractual employment will be initially for a period of one year or till regular incumbent joins the Institute whichever is earlier. The services of the appointee are liable to be terminated before expiry of the contractual period by either side after giving 30 days notice or salary in lieu thereof.
9. Leave : The appointees shall be granted leave in accordance with the instructions issued by the Govt. of India from time to time.Officers appointed shall be liable to serve anywhere in India.
10. No TA/DA is admissible for the interview. Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification. Suitable and willing candidates may walk in for interview on the date specified for the interview of the particular specialty along with application in prescribed format along with 6 passport size photographs.
11. Jurisdiction of Dispute: In case of any legal dispute the jurisdiction of court will be Delhi/New Delhi only.Application forms should be accompanied with non-refundable Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order of Rs.500/- for unreserved and OBC candidates & Rs.300/-

After independence, its control was shifted to New Delhi Municipal Committee.In 1954, its control was again transferred to the Central Government of Independent India.The hospital has grown over the years and is currently having about 984 beds, spread over in 30 acres of land. It caters to the population of New Delhi and Central District, apart from patients from other areas and even from out side Delhi. It is having 71 beds in a Nursing Home for the C.G.H.S beneficiaries, including Maternity Nursing Home.It is fully funded by the Government of India (Ministry of Health Family Welfare). No Emergency Patients are Refused treatment in this HospitalA non-invasive Cardiac Lab and a Cardiac Cath Lab exists in this hospital, in which facility for TMT, Echo -Cardiography, Coronary Angiography and Pace Maker implantation are available. Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Neuro Surgery facilities are available in the Hospital.This hospital has round the clock emergency services in Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics and Paediatrics. The facilities in other specialties are also available on call basis. All supportive services like laboratory, X – Ray, CT-Scan, Ultrasound, Blood Bank and Ambulances are available round the clock. A Coronary Care Unit and an Intensive Care Unit exists in the hospital for serious Cardiac and Non-Cardiac patients. The hospital has laid down disaster action plan & disaster beds, which are made operational in case of mass casualties and disaster.
